Hi-View Lodge & the Chairlift  - Video & Photos

About 1960, Westlake Lodge owner, Norm Deacon, filmed a drive across the Lions Gate Bridge up to the base of the Hollyburn Chairlift in West Vancouver, and from there, a ride up the mountain on the chairlift. In June, 1965, a fire severely damaged the top station. Hi-View Lodge, adjacent to the station, burned to the ground. The chairlift and Hi-View Lodge live on in the memories of many Hollyburners. Home movie film clips contributed by Merle Michael are also included in this video.
