Views of Lost Lake, Brothers Creek, Stony Creek and Blue Gentian Lake along the Lost Lake Trail - June 23, 2017

The infamous 'tree party' that took place on December 25/26, 2012 caused widespread devastation of local forests on the North Shore Mountains and as far away as the lower slopes of Mount Baker. Particularly hard hit were areas between 1600 feet and 3000 feet above sea level. By the end of June 2013, WV Parks personnel had cleared the Brothers Creek Trail and Baden-Powell Trail of fallen debris, allowing hikers to reach favourite destinations, including the upper falls on Brothers Creek.
