Hugh ‘Torchy’ Aikens, (1914-1999), was a passionate skier, hiker, and natural historian who spent decades exploring, photographing, and filming mountains and mountain people in BC, Alberta, Washington, and Oregon. Hugh's younger brother, Bert, accompanied him on a number of h, including a BCMC expeditionto Garibaldi Provincial Park in 1956.
