Twenty Children Obtain First Prizes in Province Contest. LIST ANNOUNCED (The Province)

The Province Exhibition Picture Contest for children brought forth a splendid collection of work and the Judges had a difficult task in selecting the twenty best booklets. In the competition the children showed talent in coloring the pictures, and ingenuity in arranging the booklet. Some drew original designs, others took particular pains to frame and mount their colored pictures, and nearly all showed pleasing neatness in their work. Twenty competitors have been awarded the first prizes, a complimentary ticket to Canada's Pacific Exhibition, admission to grounds, grandstand and horseshow pavilion.

WIN SECOND PRIZE. As some of the booklets which did not win a first prize were so well done, it was decided to award a second prize. This will be a pass to the Exhibition grounds. Winners of the second prizes included Master Hugh Aikens, 5002 Commercial drive.

Joan Cranswick of the Vancouver Ski Club Is concentrating on the fundamentals and already she is showing a big improvement over her last year's technique. Daisy Bourdon, Thelma Hutchison, Joan Cranswick, Margaret Gale and several of the other girls are more impatient than usual with the lack of snow on our own hills; the girls are anxious to get into condition quickly with an eye to the Dominion Championships ( to be held in Banff late in February.
